This is a picture of me at Ft. Chaffee, AR, in the summer of 1994. I attended PLDC (Primary Leadership Development Course) which allowed me to enter the ranks of a non-commissioned officer. Graduating at the top of my class was a real honor and the training was fantastic for those few weeks. Sgt. Schenup was one extremely squared-away soldier and instructor. I loved every minute with him even though he was tough. He was a veteran of Operation Just Cause (U.S. invasion of Panama) and had some great stories.
