Canaveral National Seashore

Right next to the NASA's launch facility at Kennedy Space Center sits the Canaveral National Seashore.  It's a beautiful and well-protected stretch of beach whose history dates back to usage by ancient Indians.  Since there's almost always a storm SOMEWHERE along Florida's Atlantic coast, it can add a nice backdrop to a pic.

From most of the stretch of beach you can see the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center.  According to Wikipedia, this VAB is the world's largest single-story building and is still the tallest building in the USA outside an urban area. In the second pic below the VAB is the tiny little rectangle left of the massive and typical afternoon storm you see.
