I'm a sucker for old barns. Maybe it's because I spent a LOT of time in them growing up.
Perhaps also it seems most barns MUST have a good story. No matter how old and beat up, we know there was that one day when each was brand new and the farmer swung its door open for the first time.
This old red barn sits only about 30 yards off the Clinch River near Kingston, TN.
Up river just about a half-mile sits the Kingston Fossil Plant. I totally botched a great opportunity with this picture. While it turned out okay considering I took it out of the passenger side window while traveling down the interstate (I had to crop off the blurred part of the bridge that snuck into the frame), by the time I exited and got over to it, the wind had picked up and the reflection in the water was lost. Nonetheless, the early sunlight and fog made a nice setting.
I really like that barn pic!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about old barn pics. That's a good one. Do you have one with a little more of the river visible?
ReplyDeleteNO! Can you believe it? I was in such a hurry to get to the power plant (I found this barn on a wrong turn) I didn't explore any more opportunities at the barn. Rookie.
